Life Coaching

I’m so sorry but my life coaching practice is on hold. I’m not taking clients at this time.

It’s no secret that life continually changes. We go through stages in life and our family members and friends go through their stages.  The shifting economy is full of endings and opportunities. Technology, by increasingly linking us, accelerates it all.

In work and at home we experience the breakdown of the old, chaos, and emergence of the new.
The secret is to treat life as a design space, to understand and apply creative processes to every aspect of life.

My clients are artists and professionals, executives and business owners, and parents and partners who take a little time to intelligently and creatively improve all aspects of their lives.

How To Get Started

The first session is complimentary. At our first appointment, whether on the phone or in person, I ask you to bring a set of personal and professional goals.  Together we kick around ideas and possibilities for how to improve your life now, in the next week, easily and simply. Over time, you develop a new vision and perspectives.  You will develop more clarity and a sense of purpose.

I work primarily by phone and by referral. One of my favorite experiences is having lunch with people who I know and love and have never seen in person!

What to Expect as a Client

You can expect to experience a measurable increase in health, wealth, support, and/or time. At the same time, you will not work harder, and you won’t have to do “homework.” After a few sessions, you will experience a smoother flow of information, energy, and resources throughout your life.

Philosophy and Tools

As my client, you determine your own direction in the design space of our sessions. I supply insights and tools. My practice is grounded in the following areas:

* Systems thinking: The emerging science of complexity provides a framework for moving from the small details of life to the big picture. Simple models provide insights to and reduce the complexity of business and life.

* Adult development: With an MA in psychology emphasizing adult development and systems thinking, I have a handle on life stages and transitions that we all experience.

* General health: My first degree was in nursing so I think physiologically and practically in my dealings with clients.

* The coaching profession: The coaching literature includes hundreds of tools—checklists and models for business management, for determining personal needs and values, and for achieving higher levels of physical and mental health.

A Note: Regarding Scheduling

You may live on the mainland and may have a demanding schedule. I also travel frequently, and, depending on the trip, I continue with client appointments on the road. I am willing to maintain a high degree of flexibility if you are committed to the process.
